Battle’s O’er, The

One of the most popular of all retreat marches, this tune is a must in every piper’s repertoire. It is frequently played right after “The Green Hills of Tyrol,” and is often played at funerals when a tune a little less solemn than a lament is requested. Though commonly known by the name given here, P/M Robb actually called it “When the Battle is Over.”
