Cockney Jocks, The

The tune came to prominence on the “Red Hackle in Concert” album around 1972, though it was written by John Haynes much earlier. Imagine my surprise to discover that John was alive and well and living in London. He gave me his setting of this tune with a 4th part that has never been recorded.

    Fantastic resource and a great job on the new site.
    I am a snare drummer and write my own scores. Over time I have found that working from the piping score and tune audio is gets the best outcome by far. The Cockney Jocks is a favourite of ours and discovering the fourth part on PIpe Tunes, and the story, is an absolute delight. I will be downloading that score for our pipers.
