Finbarr Saunders

Back around 1990 we were playing the jig “The Price of a Pig” in a 78th Fraser Highlanders medley. We were looking for a quick waltz for the medley, and Michael said, “Well, heck, we can take just about anything and turn it into a waltz.” We all poo-pooed him and basically said, “Well then go ahead then smarty-pants.” Michael grabbed a pen and staff paper, started humming the jig to himself and created the first two parts of this remarkable little piece in minutes. He wrote the last two parts later on.
