One of our greatest competition marches, the original melody appears in various forms under various names on various instruments. However, in his 2005 book “Pipers,” Dr. William Donaldson points out that Colin Cameron attributes the current 6-part melody to Donald Cameron, under the title “Lord Breadalbane’s March,” 1856.
