Hyfrydol (Love Divine, All Loves Excelling)

I had rarely ever played hymns on the pipes until many years ago when I was Best Man at the wedding of my oldest friend. The organist played the bride in with this piece and it immediately struck me that it would be brilliant on the pipes. There’s not much for the Best Man to do during the service but hand over the rings, so by the end of the ceremony I had the tune arranged in my head.
